Granite

Granite is a board term used to describe a variety of stone types, each with their own distinct geology and characteristics. Granites are very hard, granular, crystalline natural stones that result from the solidification of molten magma (lava).

Granite is an elegant and hardwearing natural stone with an extraordinary range of colours and unique patterns. For granite slabs with strong grain or vein movement, we recommend viewing the whole slab.

Our granite is imported from long-standing, reputable international suppliers and supplemented with stock from selected NZ based affiliates.

The major granite producing countries are:

  • Brazil
  • India
  • Norway
  • South Africa
  • Italy
  • Belgium
  • USA
  • Spain
