Care & Warranty

Granite - Polished

Polishing & sealing

Granite is polished and sealed during manufacture. Regular use of a granite care spray will lift any dull appearances. We recommend professional resealing every two years for best long-term protection.

REGULAR Cleaning

Granite is easy to clean. Use clean hot soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth; non-abrasive neutral pH7 dishwashing detergent is most suitable. Gentle use of a plastic/non scratch scotch-brite pad or similar can be used for any stubborn food residues.

Durability

Granite is very durable. Avoid hitting with anything blunt or heavy as this can cause chips and cracks. Avoid sitting, standing or placing heavy items on unsupported areas.

Preventing scratching

Granite is scratch resistant and everyday household utensils will not mark. Very hard substances including diamonds, gemstones and tungsten may mark. We recommend the use of a chopping board.

Preventing heat damage

Granite is heat resistant and moderate temperatures will not affect the stone. Extreme temperatures may damage the granite. We recommend use of a heat pad or a trivet with rubber feet.

Preventing staining

Granite should not stain under normal circumstances while the sealer is intact. Prolonged exposure to the following substances may mark granite: rusted tins, vinegar, red wine, beetroot, sauces, acids, margarine and oils including splatters from the stove. To avoid risk, clean promptly.
